We are doing all we can to SAFELY PROVIDE BASEBALL to our membership because we believe that these activities are important for the children we serve. We also believe and trust that our coaches, players, and parents will not attend if sick. We also trust that coaches, players and parents will abide by the safety protocol and physical distancing requirements as set forth. Our top priority is the safety of our players, their families and our community. By following the protocol outlined here, we hope many will be able to take advantage of this opportunity to safely return to the ballfields for baseball practices and games. Please keep in mind, these protocols cannot guarantee participants safety or eliminate their risk of exposure
Coppell Baseball Association is continuing the Challenger Baseball program and is forming a team this spring. This program is for young athletes with disabilities, who are interested in learning and playing the game of baseball. The team will consist of any boy or girl, age 7- 18, with special needs. Our goal is to put together a team to play in our fall and spring baseball seasons. Coaches, assistant coaches and volunteers are available to assist the athletes one-on-one if needed.
Baseball games are adapted to promote the desire to bat and run the bases. The opposing team's catcher catches for both teams. The Challenger/Rangers players are pitched 3 - 5 times by their coach. A tee is used if necessary to ensure a hit to run a base.
The Challenger team will have games on Saturday mornings.
For more information, to sign up for the team or to volunteer to coach/help out, please contact the Coppell Baseball Association office at 972-745-8869.
