SPRING U5 TBALL Rule Exceptions

  1. Game length -- unlimited innings or 1 hour. If time expires in bottom half of inning, home team will be allowed to bat. Coaches keep time.
  2. No score kept.
  3. All players will bat each inning.
  4. If a ball is hit to the outfield, the runners can advance two bases.
Coaches are to rotate players in the field on every inning.
  5. All players will be on the field defensively each inning.
  6. Each hitter will run to first and remain on base regardless of whether the play of the fielders results in him/her being out or safe.
  7. The last hitter in the lineup will clear the bases regardless of where the ball goes
  8. Each batter has the choice of receiving six pitches from a coach.  After the 6th pitch, the batter will receive three swings from the tee.   If the hitter has not put the ball in play after the 3rd swing from the tee he will be ruled out and must return to the dugout OR swinging from the tee inititally.
  9. A team may "bring across" a player or players from its own legal age group within the league in order to field UP TO 8 legal players; however, all players in attendance on Official League Roster must bat prior to any "pick up" player batting in the order.
  10. Runners on all bases may not advance to the next base on an over-throw at any base
