SPRING U6 Rule Exceptions

 

  1. Game length -- unlimited innings or 1 hour.
  2. Home team responsible for score.
  3. Each player shall bat in order until either 3 outs are registered in the inning or all players have batted once in the inning.
  4. Base coaches will serve as umpires. Err on the side of runners for close plays.
  5. When a ball is hit to the outfield, a batter or runner may advance to any base or bases until the ball is returned to the infield and in possession of a defensive player. When a ball is hit in the infield, (but does not reach the outfield) the batter or runners can only advance one base.

  6. Each batter will receive six pitches from a coach.  After the 6th pitch, the batter will receive three swings from the tee.   If the hitter has not put the ball in play after the 3rd swing from the tee he will be ruled out and must return to the dugout.

  7. Ten players maximum will be in the field defensively (traditional positions with the remainder as outfielders, players shall not be placed in the catchers position.
  8. A team may "bring across" a player or players from its own legal age group within the league in order to field UP TO 8 legal players; however, all players in attendance on Official League Roster must bat prior to any "pick up" player batting in the order.

Runner can advance 1 base on an overthrow
Coaches are to rotate players in the field on every inning.

FALL U5/U6 Rule Exceptions

 

  1. Game length -- unlimited innings or 1 hour. If time expires in bottom half of inning, home team will be allowed to bat. Coaches keep time.
  2. No score kept.
  3. All players will bat each inning. Players have the choice of receiving pitches from the coach or off the tee.
  4. All players will be on the field defensively each inning.
  5. Each hitter will run to first and remain on base regardless of whether the play of the fielders results in him/her being out or safe.
  6. The last hitter in the lineup will clear the bases regardless of where the ball goes.
  7. A team may "bring across" a player or players from its own legal age group within the league in order to field UP TO 8 legal players; however, all players in attendance on Official League Roster must bat prior to any "pick up" player batting in the order.
  8. Runners on all bases may not advance to the next base on an over-throw at any base
  9. If a ball is hit to the outfield, the runners can advance two bases.
    Coaches are to rotate players in the field on every inning.
